circuit for a hot tub

I need a circuit for an exterior hot tub. My panel has a 220 V breaker and circuit for a well pump that is no longer used. I've done most small electrical work in my homes over the years so I'm familiar with wiring, circuits, etc. Is there a simple instruction to installing a 220 V GFI disconnect switch?

Hot tubs and pools have very specific code requirements. There is nothing simple about them.

Bob's right. There's a whole section of the NEC devoted to hot tubs. They follow different rules than all the other circuits in your house. So any knowledge of how to wire a receptacle circuit or a lighting circuit or a water heater circuit or a dryer circuit is useless in this project. Visit your public library and read article 680 of the NEC in the reference section.
