New stove is Hard wired

I just got a new stove. My old stove was hard wired - red to black - white to white - black to red - ground to ground.

Do I hook the new stove up the same way?

Thank you!

Probably.

What do the installation instructions say?

They don't really go over color to color. It shows that the black is connected to the black post - etc.

Why would the old stove be connected differently? or is the red and black interchangable?

I have solved the problem.

The red and black wire in this case is interchangable. I hooked the new stove up like the old one - works great.
