Amp Upgrade

Would someone be so kind as to tell me how to upgrade my service from 100 amps to 200 amps. Any help would be appreciated.

Start by calling your power company. They may have some stuff to upgrade first (wires and perhaps the transformer and maybe the meter). Then get a permit. When you're ready to begin, call the power company and they will pull the meter so that you can begin. Then you'll need to replace the wires from where the power company wires leave off up to your panel. Then replace the panel and reconnect all the circuits. Then get it all inspected by your city. Then call the power company back and show them the signed inspection approval so that they will reconnect the meter.

This is not normally a DIY job, since your house may be without power for a week or more if you don't have the experience to do this quickly. If the house is unoccupied and you have plenty of time, then you should be able to do this.
