I can't think of anything that would cause this that you would be able to fix yourself - too much load on one side, short on the bus bad main breaker... Please call an electrician immediately. This could be a sign of a serious hazard.

Kenny, we need more details. When you say "keeps tripping", do you mean every second, every minute, every hour, every day, every week, every month, or what? Is it possible that you really are using more than 200 amps? Do you have a large all electric home with a pool and air conditioning and a welding hobby? Or do you think this is a fault condition? If a fault, can you speculate on anything you think might have caused it?

I will feel the surface of a breaker if it nuisance trips and have found that if one goes bad you can usually feel that is warmer than others when carrying a normal load.

I just got a non-contact infrared thermometer and it should work well for this.

Is this something you electrical pros would do to help check a breaker?
