Unhappy installing breaker = brown-out: help!

I intalled a new breaker to a new electrical run of conduit, which had a short. That I located and resolved, but this somehow caused a brown-out in two other breakers connected to two other unrelated runs of conduit. Help! There are no crossed wires in the breaker box (I checked). But during the initial short-out there were sparks around where all the conduit runs enter the breaker box. I figure this somehow affected the brownout. What happened? Is this reconcilable? Is this something I can do myself?
All imput greatly welcome!

The heat and arcing created by the short circuit might have damaged other wiring or breakers. A careful inspection is required.

Cool Resolved!

Thank you for your reply. This question was related to the other posting I had here. In the end, it was a tripped breaker in the main box in the basement. Thanks again!
