Need longer screws for Culter Hammer panel cover
I've drywalled around the breaker box and need longer screws to support the panel cover. HD doesn't have them. Can anyone suggest where I could find longer screws -- probably 1-1/2'?

I can see why Home Depot doesn't have one and a half foot screws, but they or any hardware store should easily have one and a half inch screws.
Probably not in the electrical aisle, but they should be in the hardware aisle.
But code requires that the panel lip be no more than 1/4" behind the face of the drywall. You should have moved the panel out a bit before you drywalled.

Thanks, I'll go with the 1-1/2" screws
The inspector didn't say anything about moving out the panel 1/4" or so. I guess I'll wait and see if I need to change anything for the final sign off. The cover will rest on top of the drywall. How could I move the panel out now? Can I place any sort of insulation or material around the box/drywall to make up the 1/4" difference?

It's not that you need to move the panel 1/4". It's that the panel should be set back in the rock no more than 1/4" If you need 1.5" screws for a CH panel it is set back way too far.
Will the inner cover even be near the breakers once installed?

Luckily, for the Cutler Hammer design, the panel cover is in two pieces screwed together. One surrounds the whole box and the other just surrounds the breakers. I was able to move the one surrounding the breakers back toward the wall a bit so that it fits nicely around the breakers. Everything seems to look fine. The 1" screws I'm using seem to work OK, but they are only using about 1/4" of the threads to hold the entire panel cover.
