Leak From Roof/ Ceiling Fan

Help, from hurricane frances, my roof shingles were blown off and when I checked the next day my ceiling was leking water in places, one being the ceiling fan. What percautions need to be taken, should I pull fuse, and not go in there until the roof is fixed? I thought I pulled the fuse listed for that room and the things went off, but later the power was on again. ODD. Do not know WHEN roof can be fixed from insurance. Thank you.

For two things that don't get along well, water and electricity seem to get cozy far too often. Definitely pull whatever fuses you need to make sure there is no power going to any fixture that has water near it. Also, keep in mind that just because you can't see water in or near other fixtures, that doesn't mean there isn't any. An overabundance of caution would be prudent here. Good luck.
