Does a Gas Range draw much electricity?

Im installing a 1000 watt microhood over the stove on the same 15 amp circuit that currently has the fridge, stove and hood. In other words I am simply replacing the hood with the microhood. So, I am trying to figure out if the range draws any (or much) electricity. I am also replacing the old fridge with a new one that Im assuming draws less, and I think all three can coexist without upgrading the circuit. Thanks!

You say that you are installing a 1000 watt hood. What is the rating of the hood that is being replaced?

1000 watts is quite a bit for a 15 amp circuit that will also power the refrigerator and the gas range.

I would run a separate circuit.

The current configuration will probably not be acceptable. Our previous house was wired with a similar configuration only on a 20 amp breaker and it tripped often. Fortunately our microwave was a countertop model and we were able to move it. If there is any way you can run a dedicated circuit to the microwave, it would be well worth the trouble and expense.
