Adding a remote control to SPDT switch

First I'm not sure if thiw would be the correct forum for this question, but it is the closest one I can find.

I have a SPDT switch that controls a SunSetter motorized awning.
I would like to modify the switch to accept a remote control.
The switch has throw to make the awning go out and one to make it retract.
The remote would need to have 3 buttons or controls, 1 to go ouit, 1 to retract andthe 3rd to stop or neutral.

Any suggestins on how to do this.

Thanks;

Rainbow

Does Sunsetter offer a reasonably..

priced remote control system? I would check that out first. Retract and Extend would be no problem, but the 3rd would be.

Another idea....could you simply move the exisiting switch inside the house? Or wire a another of the same type switch in parallel? This would give you two switches, on inside and one outside.

SunSetter does offer a remote control version, but it has to be ordered when the original order is placed, because they use a different motor. I did not have that option since the Sunstter was part of the house that I moved into. I am going to place the switch inside, but I was also looking for a way to add the remote to it.

Thanks;
