Bushings
Should I/must I use a plastic bushing with EMT on the inside of a 1900 box?
Is this a code requirement? I've heard you're supposed to use some sort of core tool to smooth the sharp edges of the cut? What is the standard practice here?
Many thanks!

Normally EMT installs into a box connecter fitting that then goes into the box and is fastened with a lock nut. There is no bushing required. It is necessary to ream the inside of the EMT to remove sharp edges, especially if cut by a hacksaw before connecting to the box connector.
