Question Advice on Mode 1 Surge Protectors please

I've been looking at Brick Wall Mode 1 Surge Protectors
http://brickwall.com/index.htm
and was wondering if there was anything wrong with using it on a 2 prong ungrounded outlet. I emailed the company and got a response saying that if a 2-3 prong receptacle is used, their surge protector will still function properly since no current is displaced to ground.

I was looking for an alternative way of hooking up 1) computer system and 2) TV/Home Theater system without rewiring anything.

Does this pose any problems or hazards especially for long term use?

I will probably end up calling an electrician to do it the proper way(add grounded outlets), but I just wanted to know if there were any problems with the above. Thanks a lot.
