Question Removing a 3 way switch

I have no need for the 3 way switch because I have moved a door and the light need only be turned on at the other enterance. My question is when I remove the 3 way I have a black red and white wire, which if any have to be wired togather to keep the other switch working?

The wire on the common screw and any one of the other two. Cap the 3 wire.
This could be easily disabled at the other end of the 3 wire cable which will be either at the fixture or the other switch. You can't bury that box either. You have to leave it accessible if you leave the live wires in it. You could put a blank cover on. Why not just leave the switch there?

If the only wires in the box are the three you mentioned, plus a ground, then you can safely remove the entire box and patch the wall if you wish. To do this you must disconnect and remove the wires from the other end, which could either the light or the other switch.
