PLEASE: Don't use the shower again until a licensed electrician has determined what is wrong and fixed it! Go to the gym, do any thing, but getting a shock in the shower is BAD!

Two possibilities that I can think of: (1) Somebody ill-advisedly grounded something to a water pipe, or (2) If you have an electric water heater, something went wrong with one of the elements.

Glad you figured it out but would you answer some questions,
Are you in the UK and how do you get a shock from a fan forced heater while in the shower?
Is the heater in the shower stall
Is the heater in the shower stall
