Need help replacing light switch

The exsisting switch is a standard light switch with two black wires going into it as well as a ground, the two white wires are tied together and not connected to the switch. The house is a couple years old.

The new switch (Leviton 6291, for home automation) has three inputs: Load, Neutral and Line.

I put one black wire in the Load spot, the other in the Line spot, and the two white wires in the neutral spot (I also tried leaving them tied together).

The new switch doesn't control the light in this situation. Did I wire it incorrectly or did I use the wrong switch (or both!)?

Thanks!

Sounds like you reversed the line and load. Try swapping the two black wires.
