thermostat control switch

thermostat control switch

i have just replaced my thermostat it works o.k but regardless of whether it is on max or min temp the light in the panel stays on.is this right or have i wired somthing wrong?

I'm assuming this is a low voltage thermostat (24 volts). Did you follow the manufacturer's installation instructions? Is there anything in the instructions, like a troubleshooting guide, that talks about the light? What brand is the thermostat?
