Do I need a Relay if so which one

Here is what I am trying to do. I have a DC motor and DPDT switch that is normally off and 2 normaly closed roller switches. I would like to to press the the rocker switch (let go it snaps back to off) to make the motor spin one direction moving an item down a track until it its the roller switch stoping the motor then do the same pressing and releasing the the switch to move the other direction and stop at the other roller switch. I dont know if it is a relay i need but i think it is, any help would be appeciated.

Thanks

Tangy

Sounds like you need a reversing motor starter. When you press your mometary "start" button to go in direction A, a set of holding contacts will pull in (the starter will have a coil that will electromagnetically pull them in), and they will allow the motor to continue running after you release the switch until the roller contact is "made" which will drop out the coil, thereby cutting off the motor. When you press your start which the other direction, the reversing starter will have a different coil and set of contacts that will be connected to the windings that operate the motor in the other direction. The motor would operate until it "makes" the other roller contact.

My advice would be to take the specs of your equipment to an electric motor shop and have them help you select the appropriate starter.
