wattage calcs for low voltage 50 watt MR16's

when designing my electrical system, what wattage do I use for low voltage halogens that use MR16's. Specifically the Halo 1499 or Elco 1499 cans. They use a 50 watt bulb, but do I need to add any wattage for the transformer? Basically is 10 cans 500 watts or something higher. Thanks. Tad

The transformer uses a little, but not enough to count. So count the 10 cans as 500 watts.
