How do I wire a light fixture with the switch at the end of the run?

Hook the neutral wire up to the fixture, then simply switch the hot wire, connect the white wire of your switch leg to the hot wire in the box at the fixture, hook the other end of the white wire to one screw on the switch; hook the black wire to the other screw on the switch; finally hook the black wire from the switch to the hot terminal of the fixture. wrap black tape around the white wire in your switch leg in both boxes. Understand your letting the power come down the white wire in your cable, through the switch, and back to the fixture. The neutral is already hooked up at the fixture so you are running no neutral in your switch leg. Also make sure to wrap the white wire with the black tape at all accessable points to identify it as a hot wire.
Always follow any local and NEC codes.

These instructions only apply if there is one and only one light fixture. If there are more than one, post back.

At the fixture:
(1) Power cable black to switch cable white.
(2) Power cable white to fixture white.
(3) Switch cable black to fixture black.
