Unhappy washer won't drain

undefined undefined whirlpool top loading washer won't drain after wash cycle

Although it sounds like a pump problem, there is a difference in how different machines work. Could you tell us if it is direct drive or belt drive? Thanks.

If it will wash and is silent when it tries to drain, check the lid switch.

Give yourself a gold star!!!!! That is exaclty what it was but unfortunately we paid someone $100.00 to fix it. oh well live and learn thank you anyway Eclipse!!
