Breaker loads

I have installed 3 power vents on my roof. Each motor is rated at 4.3 amps. I want these all on the same circuit. Since the total load is 12.9 amps should I use a 15 or 20 amp breaker.

20. But I'd say 20 no matter what question you asked. When installing new circuits, I see very little reason to ever install a 15-amp circuit.

Thanks. That was my initial thought. I was just curious about the load requirements. I will use a tandum 20 amp breaker as long a I am in the panel this will allow for some outlets on the patio with a GFCI outlet in the in the circiut.

Thanks again.

Remember, If you use a 20A breaker, all your wiring from the panel to the fans must be 12 gauge. No 14 allowed unless breaker is 15A.

Thanks for the tip. I have already bought 12/2 underground romex. (It was about 20% cheaper than indoor for 250 feet).

But it's 800% harder to strip the sheathing. The 20% savings (which I am surprised at) wouldn't be worth it to me.

Thanks John. Guess I'll pick up some indoor romex for the attic work and use the underground for the garden shed.
