Question electric & insulation

Does it matter whether you run your electrical wire on outside or inside the insulation on a newly constructed addition?
Thanks for your responses in advance.

Looks Are Everything

Hey, nope it don't make a diff. I will say that if you run it on the outside it will be easier for the rockers to see...those pesty boys love to drive screws into everything.LOL. When you run the wires you will find that if you are using a " nail eater auger bit" it will grab the insulation and wrap it up in the bit..thats a pain. HAVE FUN.

In most cases, it's better to run the cables neither inside nor outside the insulation. Cut a small slit in the insulation and run the cables right down the middle. Of course, the wiring should be run before the insulation is installed.
