How to search from where wire is going from basement to panel in garage

Hi all,

We r finishing our basement and have circuit running there. But we think we need other circuit as it may get overloaded if use the existing ones.We have wiring done all over the basement and know hoew to hook it up with panel which is there in garage. But the only problem we are unabel to find from where we can run wire from basement to garage panel. It is a townhome. We tried to cut some drywall near the panel but could not found it..Stuck right now...

Also,How many outlets can a one breaker hold without any problem ..I mean watt wise?

Please do reply soon..

thanks,
nikks

Keep searching, you will eventually find a way to route the cable to the garage.

A 15 amp circuit Can supply 1800 watts. A 20 amp circuit, 2400 watts. The number of receptacles is meaningless. What is important is what you plug in and turn on at the same time.

Make sure you patch any holes with drywall and patching compound to preserve the fire rating of the wall.
