dead recessed light

hi,
i have a recessed light in my basement that is controlled by 2 switches. currently the light isn't working. i've tried 3 different new bulbs. i've also tested to see if there is power running to each switch (there is), and if there is power running to the light fixture (there is).

any ideas on what could be wrong, or things that I could try?

Please tell us how the wires are connected and how you tested for power at the switches and at the light.

Hot Water System Installation

Hello :) I'm in the process of installing a new hot water system, and have a question to ask. My old system is a twin element, and the new system is a single element. The wiring coming from my house has two 'active' wires, but the new system only has room for one. Any ideas as to what I should do? Right now I'm :wall: Thanks for any help or advice!

we are building a new house. We are currently installing our electric. I was looking at some diagrams on how to install switches and recepticles in a plastic wall box. It showed that a short piece of wire had to be connected from the grounding screw in to the power source wire/cable. Is it possible to instead of conecting the grond screw with a seperate wire. can u just run it straight through with out using the seperate wire. would it be legal and pass electrical inspection. thanks. :confused:
