Hi,
I have never wired anything before in my life, but I would like to put some lights underneath my cupboards in my kitchen. I thought I could just put some kind of light under there, maybe a flourescent light, and then run a switch to it on the outside of the cupboard, and then run some power from the breaker box.
However, I am ignorant in anything electrical. Could anyone help me out? Or direct me to a site that shows me how to do it? And what I need, exactly?
Thanks,
Jon

For your project I recommend lights that plug into standard receptacles.
Of you still want to do it the way you suggest then go any buy several books on home wiring, as there is much you need to learn. Start with the book Wiring Simplified, available at most big box stores.
