GFCI doesn't trip

We are selling our house and the inspector said that an outside GFCI outlet does not trip. Does anyone have some solution suggestions? Should I just replace it or is there a wiring problem?

They cost less than $10. Turn off the power and replace it.

They only cost less than $10 in bulk, but that's another issue. I just paid $11.97 each for two new ones.

Before replaciong it, see if it has power. There may not be any power running to it and you may have more of a problem than a non-working GFCI.
