clarify previous post on toggle switch

I have a toggle switch with three posts under it: Power, ACC, Ground. I would like this toggle switch to hook up to an old blender motor that I have attached to a board. The idea that I am going for is this: Place the board with motor attached 50 ft out into the yard. Plu an extension cord to outlet and run the cord to the board. With the cord plugged into the motor, use the toggle switch to complete circuit and spin motor. So the question is this: Can a switch be used in line with a small appliance and an extension cord plugged into the wall?

Make sure your switch is rated for the correct voltage. It appears you may have a switch rated 12 volts DC. If you do don't use it. The switch must be rated for 120V and for the horsepower rating of the appliance. Also the cord must be rated @ 125% of the amp draw of the blender motor.
