Unhappy Electrical Short/Trouble Shooting

I am wanting to replace my outdoor postlamp (not the post). It has a solar switch and a wall switch. However when I turn off the switch in the garage, I still get about 24 Volts at the lamp. And at the switch, between the hot wire and ground, I only get 100 Volts. This is when the switch is turned OFF. With the switch ON, I get Zero Volts at the switch. I think that there must be a ground leak or something. Any ideas? I replaced the wall switch, but that did not help. Also when the s Thanks, blaveck

Sounds like you are switching the neutral.

Are these switches in series or in parallel?
