Replacing outlets

I replaced 8 outlets and 2 3-way switches
I thought I connected same as original hookup.
Previously the 2 switches controlled upper receptical switches. Now outlets do not shut off when I flip the switches.
Also there are some electrical lights upstairs on the same circuit. Now they don't work.
Any suggestions as to what I did wrong?

Did you break the tab off between the gold (hot) screws on the receptacles? I bet not.
Leave the tab in between the sliver screws intact.

The other possibility is that you didn't get the switches wired properly. With 3 way switches you cannot go by wire position, but rather you have to go by screw terminal function. Are these way switches and how did you wire them?
