Quick Easy question (Back-to-back switch boxes)

I am finishing my basement. One of my walls is a true 6" wall. This wall is shared between a play room and the hallway. According to the NEC can I have 2 back to back switch boxes on the same stud? i.e. In the hallway a switch box for the hallway light and in the playroom a switchbox for the room.

I mounted them already and they fit fine, but I had a nagging feeling that I read that this was unacceptable according the the NEC.

Thanks,
BB

I am not aware of any limitation. Anyone else care to chime in?
