Switch controled outlet

I am trying to run a a outlet off an existing outlet. The new outlet I a sitch to control if power goes to it. So if i flip the switch, the power is on both sockets of the outlet and vise versa. There is currently two wires going to the outlet i am trying to feed off of, Black and White. If someone could tell me what color wires has to go where, I'd appreciate it. I am fairly new to electrical.

You want to install a new receptacle and have a switch turn the power on and off.
First determine cable size required. 15 circuit requires 14/2. 20 amp circuit requires 12/2. I am going to use 14/2 for desciption.
Run a new 14/2 from existing receptacle to new receptacle.
Run a 14/2 from new receptacle to new switch.

At existing receptacle - connect all colors matching. black to black. white to white. ground to ground.

at new receptacle
Connect new wire from existing receptacle as follows
Black to white to switch. color white wire black with marker.
White to silver screw on receptacle.
Ground with switch ground and to green screw on receptacle.
Black from switch cable to gold screw.

At new switch.
Black to one scew on switch.
white to other screw on switch.
green to ground screw.

If you are using metal boxes then grounds must also connect to the box.
