sneak path in lamp wiring?

Hi.. no doubt this has been answered 1000 times before. i was replacing an exterior lamp on my house and found 57 volts between hot and ground with the switch off. the lamps operate normally, and afaik nobody has futzed with the wiring.. but i can't figure out what wiring flaw could cause this to happen. i'd be grateful for suggestions.

Ignore it. It's phantom voltage. Digital voltmeters can be very misleading. You have no problem.
