Question Outlets not working

I will start with a little background to my problem. I was having trouble with the fan in my AC and in an attemp to flip the breaker for it I flipped the breaker for the Outlets in my Utility room/Basement. Since flipping that breaker I get no power out of the outlets. I tried replacing the breaker with no luck. Please help me understand and fix this problem.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sounds like you tripped the GFCI. Is that enough information, or do you need more?

The GFCI could theoretically be anywhere in your house. Look for a receptacles with "TEST" and "RESET" buttons (or "T" and "R"). You could have many of them. Start in the basement and utility rooms where the problem is, but also look in all unfinished (e.g., basement, garage, crawl space) and outdoor areas of your house, as well as all bathrooms. Look very thoroughly, especially behind furniture and storage, and in the joist spaces. Push all the reset buttons you can find.
