Closet Question

Hi, I have 2 walk in closets. both are 7' x 14'. Very large closets. Both are illuminated by flourecents wall mounted fixtures via a wall switch. The problem is I always have to go and give the flourecent fixtures a rap or two before they will light up. I noticed in the Big Box store the corkscrew type screw in flourecents bulbs. Can I change my tube fixtures to this newer type? Or does a closet have to be a tube type.

Thank You.

The rules for lighting placement in closets are complicated and strict. But in general, you can probably do what you want.
