Duplex switch

I rewired my ceiling fan so i can control both the fan and the light independant of each other. I bought a duplex switch (single pole). Ran 14-3 from the switch to the fan. (power comes in at the fan) connected the red and black from the 14-3 to the black and blue of the fan (light and fan controls) then connected the white (14-3 ) to the incoming power..Connected the rest of the hots up in the box together and then the nuetrals.... Turned on the power and everthing worked....Just wanted to double check with an expert to make sure everything was done correctly....Thanks

Sounds right to me. By code you should have marked the white switch wire with black tape or a black marker at both ends to indicate it's hot, but other than that I think you got it.
