replacing doorbell

I'm replacing a wired doorbell with a wireless. What do I do with the wires coming out of the wall where the chime is, and also where the button is outside? Thanks!

Disconnect the wires at the transformer, or better yet remove thr transformer completely. Then just leave the wires where they are, pushed back into the wall.

Doorbell transformers are about the size of a small-hand fist, and they have two small wires coming off two screws on the front of them. They are often mounted on the side of your electrical panel or furnace, sometimes other places.
