You post seems contradictory. Do you want to convert a 220-volt circuit to a 110-volt circuit, or a 110-volt circuit to a 220-volt circuit? Or maybe you want to convert a 220-volt dryer to a 110-volt dryer, or a 110-volt dryer to a 220-volt dryer?

Is this an apartment, or is this a house you own?

Are you saying that your dryer is a gas dryer, requiring only 120 V ; and the laundry room at your place has only a 240 volt connection for an electric dryer?? If this is the case, there should be a duplex receptacle into which you could plug the washer AND the dryer. Please explain further.
