run two 220v off same breaker?
I have a 40 amp 220v , right now there is a 15 amp oven on it I want to run a 220v 16 amp compressor off it too.
will it work ok, or am I stuck adding another 30 amp breaker for the compressor?

Something is wriong with the statement, "I have a 40 amp 220v , right now there is a 15 amp oven on it," but I will assume you don;t really mean that.
You need a new breaker for your new load.

ok, but you knew what I meant.
One more question, I have bx to run from the box under the house with the awg 10 for the new 30amp breaker. when I get the garage do I put a juction box where it come out of the house fondation? then run the bx around the ceiling . Or rather than the juction box, keep it solid pipe then connect the bx? I am confused ... my plan is to do the wiring then call the guy to wire it at the box.
Thanks!
