Question Problem with bathroom outlet

Lately the only electrical outlet in my bathroom has been giving me trouble. It is a GFCI outlet. It kicks off- the other day about an hour later it worked again, today I cant get it to reset or work. What is the problem? The house is 5 years old and this is the only problem I have. I do not see any of the circuits in the electrical box that are off or anything. Thanks!

If it is dry, not full of steam it probably needs to be replaced provided there ist something connected downstream on it,,, which I kind of doubt on a 5 yr old house. They do fail on occasion.

GFCI receptacles do sometimes fail, so that could be your problem. I would start by replacing the receptacle. Your problem also could be a loose wire. When replacing the GFCI, examine the wiring. If something seems loose you may have found your problem.
