New sconces in plaster wall
Hi,
I'm looking to install two sconces in a plaster and lathe wall and I'm wondering what type of box should be used to mount the fixtures. I'll be running 14/2 NM cable.
Also, any tips on how to cut the holes in the plaster/lather wall while minimizing damage to the wall would be appreciated as well.
Dave

Possible solution
I would think an "old work" box would be just what you need.
If it were me i would cut the plaster with a roto-tool with a small circular blade mounted in it. The same blade could be used to cut the lathe. This will minimize vibration which could cause the plaster to come loose from the lathe.
