Underground Splice

I'm looking to extend an existing 20 amp circuit to a different location in my yard. What I want to do is to bury additional UF cable to this new site. What I also want to do is to bury the junction where the old cable will be spliced to the new cable. How can I do this safely? In a water resitant PVC box? Any help appreciated.

At any electrical supply house, and even some home centers, is sold a UF splice kit.
It has a terminal block for up to four wires and a heat shrink tube which seals the whole thing. It gets burried right along with the wire.
They work great.

Thanks Speedy. I went to Home Depot and the electrical guy didn't even know they carried it! I was the one who found it! Thanks again.

It really is depressing how often we hear statements like this, isn't it?

Glad you found it. They really are a handy item.
