Circuit Breaker with Ground Fault Problem
I have a Pool motor on it's own ground fault breaker tht tripped off today. It has been running all summer and never went off. It has been raining heavy today (Remains of Katrina) anyway it tripped. I tried to reset the breaker and as quick as I reset it - it tripped back off. I shut off the pool switch by the pump (which was wet around the flip switch) and tried to reset the breaker but it kept tripping back off. What might the cause of problem be? Thanks for any ideas & advice....

It is wet inside the electrical box at the pool pump, and the GFCI is doing its job. Leave the breaker off for now and wait until it has stopped raining. Take the cover off the electrical box and dry it out with a fan or hair dryer. Seal it back up and try to reset the breaker.
