I'm going to move your question over to one of the appliance forums, but I thought I'd collect some information first.

(1) Is the dryer gas or electric?
(2) Are you using a timed setting or a moisture-sensing setting?
(3) When you say that you have to dry it twice, are you saying that it takes twice as long, or are you saying that you have to restart the dryer in mid-cycle?

There's a good chance that your dryer vent is plugged up. Turn on the dryer and go outside to where the vent comes out of your house. Use your hand to feel how much air flow you're getting. If not much, then clean out the vent. There are a number of strategies to do this, or there are services that will do it for you.
