Question open neutral

I have four room outlets in one room. Two are tested to be fine and two are tested to have open neutrals. All other upstairs outlets on this breaker are fine. Is there a break in the connection from the good outlet and the first bad one? How can I trouble shoot this one?

The most likely cause for an open neutral is a failed back stab connection. The open neutral could be at the first bad receptacle or the last working one.

Start with those two receptacles, if you can identify them. If you can't identify them that check every receptacle on the circuit, working or not. Move any back stabbed connections to the screw terminals and also check any and all wire nuts by pulling on each wire. Obviously make your tests and any changes with the power off. Turn the power back on and test the receptacles after each and every receptacle that you open and check.

Thanks

Well you were right ! A neutral wire nut in the other room altogether was the cause. Love the internet.
