outlet box problem
i currently have an air conditioner outlet (dedicated circuit),that i want to tap into and make an outside line for xmas lighting.i have installed and redid outside lines running into back yard for my pond, everything went great.
my dilema here is the outlet box is a newer style where the bx enters from the top or bottom, and the screw clamps the wire..so with the box behind drywall, and no knocks to take out to run wire into back of box,the only thing i can come up with is drilling a large hole and passing 3 single conductor wires into box from new exterior weather proof box...(hot, neautraland ground)....i dont want to do a botched up job,i just assume run all the lights around the side of the house like i have been doing, but if anyone could recommend a proper way and safe way of running wire into this type of box without damaging drywall i would appreciate the help....thanks
