Grounding Switches

I added another switch (recessed light) to a box that already had two switches in it (I got a box for 3 switches). All the switches have no ground screw on them. All ground wires are just bunched together with a twist cap. I assume this is proper. I ask the question because I have seen some switches that have ground screws on them.

We have a new house. None of the switches have ground wire connected to the switch even though there is a grounding screw on the switch.

Is this OK?

Is a grounding wire present in the switch boxes? Are the branch circuit conductors enclosed in a continuous metallic raceway (used for grounding purposes)? If the answer is yes to any one of the questions then you need to ground the switches.
