10-2 wire

I need 10-2 wire for a hot water heater running to a 30 amp breaker. Lowes had the 100 ft wire for $55.00. They also had the outdoor wire or direct burial wire I believe UF? 10-2 wire for about $10.00 less. Is there any difference, both are 600v and I know the outdoor would be stiffer to work with. Thanks for everyones help.

The outdoor wire can be used indoors. However, it is harder to strip without damaging the internal wires and stiffer to work with.

Why would you be running hot water to a breaker?

Ah, humor ! For that matter, why would you need to heat hot water?

The hot water isn't running to the breaker, it's the hot water heater that's running to the breaker.

That's pretty good. I can only get my water heater (mine heats cold water) to stay. I can't get it to move.
