What type of plug is on the end of the cord? Match the circuit tothe plug. Find your plug on the chart at this page.

The cord has what looks like a dryer cord on the end like this

I could not find this one on the site. I have the outlet matching the cord. Someone said 8 and one said 10 guage wire from the box to the outlet. Also does the "input of 50 amp" mean that i need a 50amp breaker in the breaker box.

That is a 10-50 plug, the same as previously used on ranges.

You need to get a receptical to match, use #6 wire, on a 50A two pole breaker.
