Yet another GFCI question

A maintenance guy at a hotel is telling me when he walks down the hallway, if he keys his walkie/talkie ( a 2 watt Motorola XU2100) the GFCI in the closest room trips. I haven't been there to see it happen.

Anyone here about problems like this?.

I never believe things like this unless I can actually witness it and in this case I do find it quite hard to believe as I feel it may be just bad timing.

Always remember that acts like this can be reproduced...so the event should be able to be replicated over and over and if it can't then that answers the question........bad timing in most cases.
