nEW CIRCUIT

I'm running a circuit from my main panel to my shed about 130 ft away ...I ran 10 gauge wire from a pull box in my basement to a box in the shed...my question is con I run 12 gauge from my panel to the pull box and splice the 10 and 12 together or do i need to run 10 from the panel to the pull box?...Thanks

If you are protecting this circuit with a 20 amp breaker then you can run 12 gage wire.

Frankly I would run 10 gage all the way to the shed, and I would not have made a junction where the cable exits the house, but you certainly can.

What type wire are you using? In conduit? GFCI protected?
