Flex Connector

Hi,

I managed to cut the wire for my laptop's power supply in half, and need to fix it. It currently looks like this:

240V plug-----------------transformer---------------cut cut-----laptop plug

The cable is a 2 strand one, and apparenlty gives 19.5V DC at 2.15A. I bought one of these:

http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?...&doy=6m11&QV=P

but on the back it says "AC ONLY". I can't for the life of me see why I shouldn't be able to use it for DC. Can I safely use it?

With DC you must maintain polarity (+ & -). As long as you connect the wires exactly as they were when they were cut, you should have no problem.
